where were the rest of the McLean teams?
|
Why am I not surprised... They should card the coach, not the parents. |
If it gets bad, the should pick a random kid to give a red card and make the team play down a player |
It’s also annoying when coaches have their players warming up right on the sidelines too. It’s a huge distraction for games in progress especially when they’re right next to the goal. |
The problem is there's often nowhere else to go. It's pretty par for the course for tournaments. I don't think it bothers the players much - they are used to lots of people on fields. |
| One thing I’ve come to love about some of these fields north of the beltway in MD. Most of the newer facilities have these turfed designated warm up areas for teams. |
Referees can't card parents, although they can certainly warn them and throw them out. In MD, refs can now card coaches for bad fan behavior though. I assume this was in VA? |
Do you mean at the soccerplex? There's usually space there. But places like Covenant Park are atrociously packed. It's often harder for the Ulittle teams who have a much denser set up with many teams and parents occupying a few full-sized fields. |
Haven’t been there yet. The two I’ve experienced are Troy park and Blandair park. It might be something with the newer facilities. I’ve even noticed in VA over at arrowbrook near Dulles they have a section of turf next to the field that would be great for warmup. |
Troy Park may be my overall favorite place to play, even though it's a bit of a drive. |
Right- but it's in the boonies for DC. If you like to drive, there are plenty of good options! |
Bunch of the girls teams were at Discovery Cup. |
