Of course that would never happen to an instate student at Michigan. Nobody from Michigan would ever pay full freight to attend UVA. |
I tend to agree. Michigan is better in the vast majority of comparable disciplines. On the other hand, VT beats UVA in STEM. |
|
Michigan has done well investing in future areas of growth. They were putting money into STEM before most schools.
They have grads doing things like cofounding Google, which doesn't hurt. |
You mean the win against the SLAC W&M?
the game between UMD and UVA was a blow out. 42 to 14. DS said they left the game early because it was so boring. UMD was crushing UVA. |
I think UMD is going to get stronger for the same reasons. And as more and more high achieving kids from UMC donut families get rejected from the elite schools, the state flagships are going to get stronger. |
81 students are coming in from Michigan just for first-year class 2023. https://ira.virginia.edu/university-data-home/enrollment |
Wonder how many from Virginia are going to UofM |
MSU isn’t nationally known for anything. In Michigan they have a strong agricultural and veterinary medicine program..but that’s about it. |
By raising the bar for in-state admission and over-admitting OOS students to boost revenue. |
\ +1 |
+1 The PP is a tiresome troll. |
At my daughter’s highly ranked high NoVA HS, a Michigan admit is far more coveted than UVA. |
Of course. |
Can you please copy and paste where you see that statistic please? I can’t seem to find it on that site. |
Nevermind, I found it. The number is 22. That’s far from 81. |
