how did your teens figure out what they wanted to do in college/life?

At this point he has no clue what he wants to do either, except he wants a career that will have enough free time to play video games after work . I am trying to encourage him to try different electives in HS to see if what he thinks he likes (chemistry/biosciences) is actually for him. Chemistry and biology ARE liberal arts. You are too uneducated to give anyone advice.

I figured it out when I was 33. I had a lot of passions but not one thing that stood out. I made good money too.

Life is long, it’s not a big deal to change course.

If she wants to teach dance she'd better have spent a few years in a company and then MAYBE she'd be a good dance teacher.
The dance teachers who got a degree in dance s*ck. It's the ones who have spent time in the pro league who know what it is to perform.

Dancers with degrees can open their own businesses, create dance teams, there are more recreational dancers than dancers on the professional track.

Professionally trained dancers who danced professionally can teach students with professional aspirations.
