+1 for all of the VA preschools and daycares near us. And all of the lead teachers, of any ethnicity, had college degrees. |
Because it’s a low skill, low paying job, but at the big centers you need to have the correct papers. |
Yes our daycare has predominantly Black staff and in the teacher bios, many come from very large families. |
+1. People would be a lot happier if they stopped assuming the worst in everyone. |
Who said they were unhappy? To quote an American folk saying, "I said what I said", my response still stands. |
Interesting Pov, toured a facility with predominantly white caregivers and they were cold and neglectful. Middle Easternsand Hispanics are the main caregivers in my area and I prefer that for my child. |
Middle eastern and Hispanic cultures tend to be very family and children focused. They love kids! |
It depends where you are? Like Richmond is mostly white people who lives there....
But in DC, VA and Maryland is a mix of White, Black and Hispanic people working in schools, family daycares, etc. Centers also has a variety of diverse workers, white, Black, hispanic and others |
My nanny is hispanic and she's very lovely, warn heart, sweet, caring with our children. They always care they are eating well |
Because white people don't like kids, they wanna be like men
Lol Sorry. Stupid stereotype |
A preschool teacher is NOT a low skill job! |
This has not been my experience. |
My kids childcare providers over the years were primarily South Asian, Hispanic, and Eastern European. They did have one African-American teacher. This is Arlington. |
Because black women are the better caregivers…been raising kids since slavery!! |
