2. It is true that the top rec teams (vienna Dulles South etc) would beat most. AAA travel teams, but the reason for this is because those teams were composed, almost exclusively of elite travel, kids.

This is likely correct at the 10U and 12U levels (and I guess 8U level) but at the 14U level it isn't. Because of the fact HOCO 7th and 8th grade divisions play on Saturdays and that means most if not all of your top players that would play for Vienna, DS, etc. are up in Howard County and can't play Saturday rec games. I've heard rumors NVYLL is going to move 14U games to Sundays to accommodate (NVYLL cooperating with reality seems like a stretch) but I'll believe it when I see it.

Some NVYLL kids get plenty of kids who do both and make it work.

U14 Dulles South kids did play NVYLL on Sundays to accommodate the large amount of kids playing HOCO last season.

True NOVA is poised to be the top club in No VA. It will give madlax some tough competition this fall and spring.

Top club as in number of players or top club for competition?

Top club as in number players who eventually transfer out to other clubs.

True Virginia parents are truly amazing, especially the True Green parents. Their faiths, deep pockets, love of the game are all amazing. Competition level is at best B-level rec teams, but parents are willing to pay $3000 a year, drive to games, see their teams lose all games and consistently end up as the bottom ranked teams in VA for their respective age group. But they have the faith that their kid will eventually make the Black team (which is just a higher level rec team) and this is the up and coming VA program.

$3000. That’s light

$3000 is the cost of admission, it goes way up when they sell you on the National teams and extras

The True VA players don’t see that cost because they don’t make the National team.

I had a son at true NOVA it’s the perfect place for competitive public school kids or non-competitive private school kids (there was a lot of Yorktown and Bishop OCOnnell students). If you are a virgina kid looking to be recruited you are at ML, NL or DCE and you go to St. John’s, Gonzaga or PVI. For everybody else True is a great option. It’s better run than Top Caliber and it has better coaches than VLC.

I think the animosity towards True is they are up front and say they are a business that provides a lacrosse club as a product. So it is actually very up front.
The other lacrosse offerings in the DMV (ML, NL, DCE/BLC, etc), claim to be a lacrosse club first, business second. But we all know that isn't really the case.
