Would Ozempic work for this? Would I have a hard time getting a Dr to give me a prescription som e I do t “need” it?

It's not medically indicated. You do need a psych consult.

Hi, diabetic here - What you’re looking for is Wegovy, Ozempic is for diabetes.

Seek out therapy for your body dysmorphia.

Um, there is a supply shortage here also, and middle class American women are also buying it to lose weight to decrease the risk of heart attack and stroke (among other reasons), not just for aesthetic reasons.

I am on Wegovy and having zero side effects, and it's working well-about 2 lbs a week and I just started the .5 dose. But it's not melting right off the middle OP, that's not how it works. My dr would certainly never prescribe it for you for 5 lbs.

You're in your 40s. Your body is never going to look like it did before having babies. You sound like you're already very thin. Work on accepting the natural changes in your body that come with age.

OP, you are not close to the weight needed for semaglutides. A BMI of 30 is considered obsese. You need to have a BMI of 27.2 or higher to be considered for semaglutides for weight reduction. Your BMI is 19.6, so you are well below the target weight for those who get prescribed semaglutides for weight. To give you an idea, at your height, you would need to be 173+ before they would recommend semaglutides.

And for those who consider her underweight, based on the CDC BMI tables, 18.5 is considered underweight and she is 19.6 which is considered the low side of normal range. She's close. 118 would be considered underweight. So, OP is trying to get to within 2 pounds of what is considereed underweight.

OP, you should really reconsider. Your target weight is borderline underweight. If you feel you need to get to 120, then you should consult with a doctor to find out why you want to get to an unhealthy weight. That weight is not recommended and you should reconsider. You are currently at a healthy weight. Do not push it.

My mother and I were the same height, 5’7”. I was 118 lbs my senior year in high school. I remember when my mother crossed below my weight and weighed less than me, thanks to the cancer. She was skeletal at 118 lbs.

Your view of your body is distorted, op. Do not take ozempic.

Well, OP is okay. There is no doctor that would ever prescribe her any of the semaglutides unless she has type 2 diabetes (highly unlikely) in her condition. So, she won't be able to get it anyways, so the point is moot.

I asked Jeff to delete this post because every day there's some dumb mentally ill woman who thinks they can use Ozempic to lose 5lbs posting here, but he refuses. I wish I knew why.

So then exercise and watch your diet. I am not sure how a medication, which helps you lose weight, actually makes you healthier on the inside if you are not moving your body and eating crap food.

This is the most sensible and non hyperbolic post I think I have ever read on this web forum!

OP's current weight it fine. I am 5ft 7in and 122lb and that is the best weight for my very small frame, once it hit 126ish and more my blood pressure goes up and I have jiggly upper and inner thighs and arms. Hard to see in my clothes but I notice unclothed.

Ozempric will work but no one will prescribe it for you. You have to be overweight and you are just plain nuts or a troll (but not overweight)

My sister was able to do it without meds at your age but she had to start counting macros and significantly up her strength training.
