Early 50s and I've never been with a man older than 42

I'm 51 and my dating range is 40ish-55ish, but I rarely date the upper end of that scale. I get hit on by even younger dudes but I'd rather stick to fellow GenXers or close to it- the pop culture references are closer. A lot of my friends are in the same boat- the younger guys don't really seem to mind going older. I'm in really good shape and a daily exerciser and find that guys don't always take great care of themselves, and it ages them. Conversely, the guys I know who are in great shape in their 50's say they sometimes have a hard time finding active women to date.

Older men generally seek out young women instead of women closer to their age. Ex. 60 year olds looking for woman in their 20s-30s. Sometimes they’ll inch up to early 40s.

I’ve noticed younger men (30-40s) are not like that, they will date women that are much older.

I'm mid-40s man and there is very little middle ground in our age group for health & fitness.

People are either dedicated and it shows or extremely overweight.
