I'm also worried about my daughter getting heat stroke. What are the schools going to do? I think it would be wise for them to either keep them indoors all day or cancel school like they do for snow days, now that snow is a thing of the past.

No the humidity will be in the 50’s.

That does make a difference, but, oh boy.. those poor kids who live in the dorms at UMD with no a/c. My kid's dorm does have it.

You must not have been living in this area. I remember starting school after labor day in the 90s and how extraordinarily disgusting it was for soccer practice in September. Also as a kid in the 80s.. early/mid September was HOT!

Yep. My birthday late September was always hot as a child. I bought an ice cream cake that melted within 30min

What part of New England did you grow up in?

Because you’re describing New England- not the Mid-Atlantic/Chesapeake Bay region.
