I’m with you on the pools, but do the beaches really close?

At least it’s not humid. Today felt great.

First of all, go with the National Weather Service and not some app. 94-96 from Sunday through Wednesday. Anything in the 97-98-99 range would be record highs.

Indian summer has an actual definition and it’s not a heat wave in early September.

YES! I love the hot weather and am pre-mourning the cold weather to come.

I'm headed to the beach for the upcoming week with plans to do nothing but soak up the warmth.

In previous decades Washingon DC typically had less than 3 days of 90 or above temps. There were some outliers though 1980 had 14 or 15 days throughout the month at 90 or greater. It will be interesting to see where we end up this year.

Ugh, I'm afraid my DD will faint in gym class. She faints when she overheats and the school gym has no A/C. Maybe I should write an email to the PE teacher.

Send the email so the teacher is aware.

Forgot to mention, it usually isn't 95+ though. This is awful.

It has been 98 degrees in October. Summer is not over until it’s over.
