Gilman and the case

That applies to an individual facing criminal charges in the justice system, not a private school dealing with fallout from sexual assault allegations by a student.

So, you’re suggesting Gilman parents shouldn’t react and should just wait for the criminal case to end to decide what to do? That’s *not* reality in this type of situation!

Are there criminal charges? If so, that would be public information the school could not shield. Sounds like perhaps there were allegations against a WIS teacher, but maybe the investigation is ongoing or did not lead to enough evidence. It puts the school in a tough spot and often law enforcement will prohibit statements from being made so as not to compromise an investigation. Gilman had no choice given the teacher was charged criminally and that information is public.

Gilman has left this entire thread up: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1110639.page. It does, yes, contain salacious gossip, but also grief, concern, reflection, conversation on possible systemic issues, history and culture. It’s still open for comments.

Every single thread on the WIS issue was shut down and every comment erased even factual ones save the ones on this thread.

We heard about the firing and lack (ban) of communication and turned down as well.

Surely someone from WIS knows the details about what happened. Any parent care to add more than what was previously posted? Teachers don’t often get fired mid year.
