What would you think if someone you knew did this?

I had Covid in May. My kids went to school like normal and spouse went to work. Nobody else got it.

This conversation is why we still mask in all shared indoor air.

How are they following the rules?

I had a terrible case of Covid last month and I think that’s downright awful to send their kids if they tested positive. My case lasted two full weeks and I felt awful… would never want that for anyone else!

Close contacts do not have to quarantine. Haven't in over a year. They're following the rules.
Now if the person *with* COVID went to camp, then they'd be a jackass.

Vaccines don't stop transmission so you can infect the entire camp.

OK, and? Vaccines are available. People should get them. So that if they are exposed, they will have a much more mild case, or hopefully nothing at all.

At this point, covid is like the flu. If your kid is not exhibiting symptoms of the flu, you would send them, right?

Right? We don’t have easy access to free tests anymore. I’m not paying $ to be able to test myself or my kids for every cold.

Caring or talking about COVID in 2023 is for nerds. It’s a cold. Find something else to do with your life.

Obvs a troll. We can all agree that for the vast majority of those who develop covid, nearly all will be fine. However, people can and do die from covid. It is not a cold.

You can do fine and end up with blood clots. Ask me how I know. I am SICK of people minimizing this still, just so sick of it. It's still a big deal.

Nope, it certainly is not just like the flu. Educate yourself.

We do as well. I've learned that people are just kind of dumb. Like camp lady.

For the next thread asking why people "still" mask: this thread explains it.

What is the camp’s Covid policy?

I believe this is general protocol these days, but really have no idea anymore. The CDC site is not easy to navigate and I only find old info. Either way, I’d be upset if they sent their kids to my home but an outdoor camp? Annoyed but that’s it, really. Can’t control other people.

My brother is in the hospital currently with his "cold". He's in his 40's and has small children. F you.

It's a cold and I bet he has other health issues, but you covid nutcases refuse to acknowledge that. Covid is over, like it or not. Better yet, hid in your basement with your masks, gloves, goggles and jugs of hand santizer.
