Friend tests positive for Covid Sunday, sends kid to camp Monday and Tuesday before deciding to keep them home Wednesday. Thoughts? |
Don’t care.
Caring or talking about COVID in 2023 is for nerds. It’s a cold. Find something else to do with your life. |
I’d think they had no regard for the other kids in that camp. |
I would think they're following the rules. |
How are they following the rules? I had a terrible case of Covid last month and I think that’s downright awful to send their kids if they tested positive. My case lasted two full weeks and I felt awful… would never want that for anyone else! |
The OP said friend tested positive, not that the kids did, right? |
Obvs a troll. We can all agree that for the vast majority of those who develop covid, nearly all will be fine. However, people can and do die from covid. It is not a cold. |
Do you have school-age kids, OP? Keeping kids home “just in case” stopped when vaccinations became available. The guidance was then to stay home if symptomatic, test and come back to school after 5 days if asymptomatic/while wearing a mask. |
Who cares? I never quarantined in 2020. Just lived life as usual. |
Too late for thoughts. Just prayers! |
At this point I just assume I'm in contact with someone who has Covid wherever I go. Did she test the kids before sending them each day? |
People still take Covid tests? |
That’s protocol. There is no more quarantining just because you have contact with someone who tested positive. I got Covid in early 2022 and kept my kids home from school the first day, until the school called and said that it was an unexcused absence and they were supposed to come to school unless they had symptoms! |
Crummy selfish people I'd avoid. |
Vaccines don't stop transmission so you can infect the entire camp. |
