Would the previous poster about Dutch Pro Camp share whether their daughter liked the camp, found it competitive and good training, etc?

Have a daughter going to UVA for the first time this year but would like to send her to one other camp. She is a 2011 and plays in the ECNL RL.

We are signed up for UVA but considering UMD in addition -- looks like others also trying to get feedback on UMD. Love to hear from anyone who has sent their child there.

My daughter did the Dutch Pro day camp (the one in Ellicott City) when she was 11 and pre-ECNL. There were about 50 kids there, and she was one of only four girls. Most of the boys were older. By the end of the week, two of the girls had dropped out. It was the most she'd ever been challenged. Day 1 was really hard on her when she realized just how much better most of the campers were. By day 2, she accepted it and was glad that she was in a camp that could help her improve. We've since moved out of Maryland, but if we hadn't, she would do that camp again. It is hot! Bring anything and everything that will help your child cool down because they're outside even during breaks. https://dutchsoccerschool.com/pro-camps

Any thoughts on the Golden Boot camps? I am thinking of registering my DD for the VIP Training Week: Learn from Experts. Seems like a pretty good known lineup of coaches compared to some of the other camps where you never know who will show up.

My kids have done several, and love the coaches.

I'm curious about this one too. We did a Golden Boot camp once before and I didn't love it but was open to trying one of these bigger ones if people say it's good.

anyone have experience with Four Soccer camps? Four Soccer vs. Next Star? Or have other recommendations?

This is for a strong, enthusiastic u9 player--not travel BC we're not ready for the commitment.

My kids have really enjoyed Four Soccer. In our experience, it's more relaxed than Next Star. Both of my kids are travel players. There's also shade at Mann.

Our son attended an Atletico Madrid Camp USA (coming to DC the week of 7/29). He was excited to wear the famous red jersey, get good advice from very strict Spanish coaches, and be gathered with many other skilled players. He put together a video to share his experience: https://youtu.be/DAWZPKmcwno?si=m7D8zfzskxhnVqUO

My daughter enjoyed the Nike soccer camp at McDaniel college. Overnight, four days. It was more on the fun side than challenging though.
