| Sliced cucumber with a smear of cream cheese and smoked salmon on top. About half and english cucumber and you get some fiber, fat, and protein. Nothing hot, nothing heavy. |
| Raita with pita. My family scoffs bc raita isn’t supposed to be a meal but it counts in my book - I get a veggie like zucchini, eggplant, or potato. Calcium and probiotics from a bowl of yogurt. And carbs from the pita. Granted it’s more middle eastern than Indian but it works in this weather. |

I've been getting more cucumbers from my garden than a small family can reasonably eat , so I've been making these two cold dishes multiple times a week for the last two weeks:
Cucumber, tomato, feta salad https://www.dontsweattherecipe.com/tomato-cucumber-feta-salad/?mc_cid=740c23140f&mc_eid=1095659f06 Spiralized cucumber and cold noodles in a Thai peanut sauce. I have my recipe written down but it's similar to this https://www.foodbymaria.com/spiralized-cucumber-salad/ Both are very easy and keep reasonably well. |

Then just dont eat....?
Ill make a lemon collagen protein drink with lemonade and an ice cream bar or yogurt granola fruit or watermelon or cantaloupe and some cured meat. |
|
yogurt or cottage cheese with fruit
spiralized zucchini or grated carrots as a salad/noodle base antipasta salad made from jarred vegetables like artichokes, hearts of palm, etc. lots of fruits and veggies that have a high water content. |
Me too. I also eat tomato/avocado/cucumber salads, cold cucumber soup, lassi, and any fruit that's in season. |

Some ideas from my Jewish, Hungarian Bubbie:
Two cups cottage cheese, 1/4 cup sour cream, sliced radishes, dill, chunks of cucumber, salt. Surprisingly good! Sweet Vidalia onion cut in half, then separated into scoop shapes, and you use the “scoops,” filling each one with half tabbouleh, half hummus. So good. Cold borscht with sour cream. My own additions: Celery and peanut butter Celery and cottage cheese Tomato, mozzarella, basil salad Doritos

| If I have to go to an outdoor event or party when it's this hot, my go to dish is cold sesame noodles or cold peanut noodles. I'll shred some veggies to put in there, too. |
| My kids and I all have a really hard time eating when we’ve been super hot during the day. I try to make sure we eat a good solid breakfast, then it is smoothies for lunch and dinner. I try to get a lot of variety in and don’t skimp on the protein. We usually end up eating cheese and crackers late in the evening. I’m not going to be a buzz kill by insisting we all sit down for meals no one wants and that are probably less healthy than the smoothies that we do want. |
