What’s up with the IL of the Beltway

Because the weather was iffy. If any risk of thunderstorms, no helicopter.

Do you know how hard it is to get big donors in one place? I agree it's incredibly annoying, but simply not practical to reschedule.

This. What I hate in addition to this is that WTOP traffic kept calling it “police activity” and didn’t say “Presidential motorcade.” That pissed me off, too. I’m done with WTOP.

It’s none of your business why the road is closed for the president. You don’t NEED to know. It’s a security measure, dummy.

If it was related to official duties, I might forgive him. But a fundraiser? Hell no.

Yeah.
I’m used to traffic from motorcades and it comes with bing here in DC.

But this is indeed pure Stupidity.

Rush Hour road closure on GW parkway and The Entire 495 IL!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf? Also to add it is a stormy day. But to shut down 495 for a fundraiser during rush hour is the height of stupidity.

And most of all, he probably doesn’t give a crap.

The only crap he gives is about the $$. NOVA/DC and MD will vote for him regardless and he knows it. And DGAF.

123 McLean is bumper to bumper from GW to Tyson’s and Geortown Pike is bumper to bumper from CIA to 123 and ain’t moving.

People are late to get how to their kids, babysitters. People are late for dinner plans, sports for their kids, doctor appointment, and so forth.

For what? Biden wanting to go to a fundraiser!!!!!!!!!!!!! During rush hour and an afternoon with thunderstorms. What an ass.

I’m sure he thinks we should suffer in traffic so he can collect his million from his fundraiser.

I’m LMAO at all the trumpers and GQP’ers here whining about being stuck in traffic, hahaha.

I love it. I love that Joe is rubbing your noses in it. I’m delighting in this.

I’m just tying to get home to my kids and it’s been 2 hours so far and I will have 1 hr to go.

Usual trip is 45 min in rush hour. And yeah. I’m not moving so I’m typing this.

I don’t give a crap about politics or Republican or Democrat, just pissed at stupidity of Biden and his team to do this to basically NoVA and Montgomery county.

Yes, it’s Joe’s fault for not consulting you for your commute schedule before handling the business of leading our nation. What an embarrassing oversight on his part

I would crawl over broken glass to vote for him. I’d sit in traffic 5 hours a day if it made his job easier or made him safer. I really can’t think of anything I wouldn’t do or give up if asked, to help Joe.

This had nothing to do with leading our nation during his current term. It was about getting re-elected for the next term.

Which is every bit as important to the safety and prosperity of our nation as anything else he does.

Sit down.

Of course you would. You’re the quintessential DCUM poster

Don't think he should have this amount of hatred but nor the love. Presidents and VIPs do what they do - they can and always will - it's not personal but yeah, most of the time it's totally inconvenient to us mere mortals and sucks to no end. But any POTUS up for candidacy needs $$ so any of them would do this when we and wherever they need.
