| Tuna packets, Made Good granola balls, Kodiak makes these breakfast cup things, and I have microwaved those lentil pouches too. For our family it is nice having a “healthy” snack between meals to supplement. |

Peanut butter jelly and bread
Yogurt cups Juice boxes Granola bars Cheese and crackers Wine or beer Chips and gold fish Grapes or watermelon Cereal Milk (we have a toddler but also for cereal) Bananas We don’t necessarily bring all of this on every hotel trip, just depends on length of stay. Saves money and breakfast and kids lunch |

PB crackers
Granola bars Clementines Bananas Jerky sticks Cheese sticks Nuts Water Gatorade zero Beer/wine Some combo of these things. We eat meals out but like to have snacks on hand. |

I've read that people pack whole suitcases full of food when going to Atlantis. This was years ago. Then we went and understood why. The food on Paradise Island is insanely expensive. There's really no point throwing money away if you could bring your own.
When we travel nowadays (with small kids) we usually bring a soft cooler, and then buy groceries at the destination to make our own breakfast and some lunch. It's about efficiency as much as saving money. Also, food allergy family here, so we have more control over exactly what we eat. |

I remember reading on a Disney forum about people who cooked hot dogs in hotel coffee pots (before keurigs) and used the iron to make grilled cheese.
I’m not one to be all “omg stay home if you can’t afford to vacation properly!!1!1” but… |

I had no idea so many people eat dried mango.
Also why only have wine if you have a balcony? You don’t allow your children to see you having a glass of wine or a cocktail? |
No because kids talk to much. |
| Does everyone do this? I feel like this isn’t much of a vacation. I love eating fancy breakfast at a nice hotel or resort. |
| As a vegetarian I bring walnuts, almonds, and pumpkin seeds as many vegetarian meals in restaurants provide little protein. |
We only bring wine if we have a balcony bc if we're sharing a room I don't want to drink it in the dark in silence after the kids have gone to sleep. If we're all in one room dh and I just lie in bed reading for the final hour or two before we also go to bed. Otherwise I'm not having a glass of wine in the room before dinner, I'll just wait until dinner if I want some. |

For us, sometimes it's a vacation to be able to just snack in the room or bring food on an outing than to try to round up our kids and wait for a nice breakfast. I love a good hotel breakfast too but after a few days on a longer trip it's nice to take a break. |
We swim at night at the resort pool with the kids. We fill our yetis with wine/beer |
I don’t really like breakfast food. |
I love eating out too, but my digestive system doesn't. Even if I order fruits and vegetables, eating out every meal is killer on me and at least one of my kids. Plus it's insanely expensive to have a restaurant meal 3 times a day for a family of 4 for a week. Even if we have the money it seems silly to spend it all if we can have yogurt and granola for 1/10 the price. |
