Never cared or tried to win over in-laws. Just treated everyone like equal adults with respect. Worked out fine.

I’m not as altruistic as other PPs. My DD dated a total complete dud. No Brains. No personality. No motivation. No drive to do anything or be anyone. Except video games he was big on video games and skateboarding. He did NOT win us over and we just knew the relationship would end eventually bc our DD is completely the opposite. New BF is night and day different smart driven kind affectionate funny. A better match all around. They didn’t DO anything to win us over. They just ARE a better match.
