Do you remember every night on the news there was a reminder that would come on, sometimes a famous TV or movie star would say it, "It's 10pm...do you know where your children are?" Also, it was common for parents to let their kids roam the streets with friends as long as they came in before all the street lights came on. I'm early 50s and grew up in N. Va and I remember this.

So true! We wrote our papers in the computer lab (open until midnight but no food allowed) and I got my first email address a month before I graduated.
