| American hegemony is declining faster than people want to admit. There really is no reason for India to kowtow to or align with America's foreign politics. There is nothing to gain. |
Mody is a populist dictator and dictators tend to like each other. Also, Indian Americans are one of the most educated communities in the US - could be one of the reasons they are democrats. But I've met a few who were conservatives. One of them is a doctor but switched to Democrat after the Trump's administration mishandling Covid. I feel the same way about Chinese Americans who were raised here in the US - are so different from those who are raised in China. |
Lol. You might want to look up China’s strategy for dominating the Indian Ocean and its strand of pearls strategy. Tell me why India is voluntarily part of The Quad again? |
| Greed |
They are also conservative socially and are getting fed up with the school nonsense. |
India’s a member of the quad because it serves their strategic interest. However the quad is not a treaty alliance (or collective security arrangement) like ANZUS, NATO, ROKUS, or Japan-US. |
India is looking out for itself first and foremost. India sees no reason to burn its bridges with Russia, especially when they can take advantage of the situation. However, India is in conflict with China and wants to contain their expansionist mindset. Here, India’s interests with the US are aligned, and so they are working together. |
You don’t understand Indian history. Jawahalal Nehru aligned with Russia after independence and there is a long history of support from the Soviet Union. The US did nothing to endear itself to India during that time. |
| MODI = MAGA |
So why is POTUS hosting Mody to a State Dinner? |
The Soviet Union had a long history of 'helping' Indian officials that were pro-USSR. Need to watch Yuri Bezmenov's videos. Notice any similarities to current events? |
| How did we make it to page 3 without anyone mentioning the BRICS? |
| In politics, there is no such thing as permanent allies or enemies, only permanent interests. |
Bill Clinton said something to that effect. |
| India of late just shows itself to be morally ambiguous, just cares about making a buck or saving a buck no matter what the supposed allies and no matter what the consequences. |
