| My 2010 Mercedes GL 450 with 210k miles still runs like a champ. Very reliable and built like a tank. Oil change and regular maintenance at the dealership aren't cheap though. |
+1 on Honda. |
| Wrangler. Low tech. Easy to repair and find parts. Have had 3 over the last 25+ years. Very few issues. |
| I am on year 11 with my Subaru Outback. It has been parked outside the whole time. |
| 21 years old Honda Pilot has 250k+ miles on it. Still runs great, followed routine maintenance and major service religiously. Aside from the AC that has been replaced 2x, it runs like a champ still! Plan to keep it for as long as it will run, AC or not. |
I just sold my 2002 Ody for 2k. It had a lot of miles and was anything but pristine. |

I’m going to be a -1 for Honda. I have a 2016 pilot with 50K miles (I’m original owner) and will never own another Honda. Things that have gone wrong: all fuel injectors had to be replaced, a/c needs to be replaced (but can’t be because the parts are on back order), transmission is jumpy but dealer say nothing is wrong, and the tech screens just randomly go blank periodically. I’ve done all of the stupid flushes and routine maintenance, but I want to sell it (but can’t because of the AC). The guys at the shop think I’m crazy because the mileage is so low and they think it has so much life left.
The other SUV’s we’ve owned (Lexus, Tahoe and 4Runner) have been far, far superior. |
| 10 year old Toyota Highlander with 100k miles runs great but tech seems outdated. |
| Want reliable and boring, get a Toyota. Want fun an excitement, get a Porsche Cayenne. |
Were you not expecting this? |
Toyota 4Runner. Buy one now before the re-designed version comes out next year. |
You lie |
Interesting. I have a 2016 Pilot as well, just hit 100k miles, and that thing has never given me one iota of a problem. I do routine maintenance but that's it. |
| I posted in another thread. I have a 2016 Mazda cx5 with 50k miles and haven't had to do anything to it besides the routine/recommended maintenance. Love the car so much, so easy to drive also. |
+1 I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 with 60k miles turning 10 years old later this year and it's also been great. I had a small issue with a sensor to the Smart City Break Support (auto breaking system at slow speeds) a few years back that was a <$200 repair. The normal manufacturer's maintenance has been done at the Dealer and it's priced pretty reasonably. I easily think I could get another 5 years out of it before selling it to a college kid or someone looking for a good deal on a used car. |
