| Honestly with regard to maintenance reliability is important but where the repair shop is relative to your house and work is also really important. |
Audis are a POS. Here are actual stats: https://www.jdpower.com/business/press-releases/2023-us-vehicle-dependability-studyvds#:~:text=Lexus%20ranks%20highest%20overall%20in,and%20BMW%20(184%20PP100). Worse than average in terms of reliability and number of problems. A stupidly unreliable status symbol. Lexus and Genesis are near the top. |
Exactly, so many posters claiming reliability isn’t that important because you can just drive to the dealer and get a loaner make the assumption you live close to a dealer. It’s a giant pain if you live many miles away from the closest dealer who’ll give you a loaner, and it’s even more annoying if you have an unreliable, expensive car you have to waste so much time taking in for repairs. |
| Lexus is to 2023, as Lincoln was in 1988. Sure you're showing people you've made it, but it gives off major old fart vibes. |
This is probably the single dumbest post I have ever read. Audis can go much longer than many cars without oil. 10k miles or one year is the norm. In addition, you realize Audi doesn't manufacture tires so that has nothing to do with the car itself. Women should just politely bow out of conversations about cars , just like men shouldn't talk about the Kardashians and other female interests |
| I’ve had my Acura for 16 years now and love it. It’s still in good shape and I have taken good care of it. Still rides really well. I had a Lexus SUV and it’s smaller than MDX. Lots of repairs and even more $$$ than Acura. Didn’t love Lexus. |

Buick is more reliable. But who wants a Buick? That’s how i feel about Lexus. Screams 75 year old women
|
Oh my. My parents went Buick, Lincoln Town Car, Lexus. In the 80s-90s. Lexus became a series on and off through today Lexus is a lot more "normal" car today than the heyday ES/GS 300/400 But that car is heaven to drive. It feels more like teleportation than driving, like you are in the turbolift, just push a button and car goes where you want it. 100mph field like 40mph , and slows on a dime as you notice the speed trap
It's not just Toyota with trim. Toyota is reliable. Lexus is quality performance (and hella expensive wth maintenance). |
| Lexus is a good for old people who want a comfy seat and don’t notice poor handling because they’re just trying to get from location a to b. Won’t see me step foot in one. |
| My mother is a realtor in Florida and she's been driving premium Cadillac SUV's for about two decades now. She has a service contract. Whenever they need to do any work on the car, she drives into the dealership, they move anything she wants into a comparable loaner Cadillac and she drives away and goes about her business. When the work is done, she drives back, they transfer her back to her own vehicle and she's on her way. She loves the service and attentiveness of the Cadillac service center and has been very happy with no issues. I think she's on her 5th Cadillac in close to 30 years. |
| NP: trying to decide between a Lexus hybrid and a Tesla Y. Hate that Tesla does not have CarPlay. Do you ever get over the Tesla software glam and wonder why the seats are not as comfy? |
Also Cadillac in the most prestigious luxury brand for Rich Black people. Escalades loaded are 200k |
Haha, nope, but I have a bunch of solar panels in a sunny climate, which means I charge them for free, and I can use them as a tax write off for my businesses. Happy now? |
I like the Tesla seats, but I prefer honda type seats over the luxury brands. Lack of CarPlay is annoying for sure. I had a Lexus hybrid way back in the early 2000’s and it was great. |
| After driving european luxury sport models (bmw m, audi rs, mercedes amg) with sports bucket seats, I can never go back to asian and US cars with seats made for amerifats |
