There was a spike in public sector jobs due to the census, but those jobs are over so this month there is a public sector drop off. The chart I posted is "private" sector jobs, so the census is not a factor.

yea, and when it is all said and done, the health care reform will be looked at as a disaster and we all would have wished he spent more time on tv shows....

Heh, I do what I can.

In all honesty, I was/am an Obama supporter who is disappointed in a lot of what he has done. There is plenty to legitimately criticize about his term and work thus far. What I don't get is that the conservative right talking points keep coming back to empty rhetoric like this instead of actually offering REAL critique and ultimately watering down their own message. Not that I'm complaining, since they ultimately offer so much comedic fodder. But it does seem odd.

Obama is disengaged from the actual office of being president. He likes all the trappings, playing golf, hosting dinners, etc but the true hard work of legislating, true diplomacy and in some cases, yes kicking some butt he has shown little courage or inclination to tackle hard issues.

From the Sharrod incident to how he treated Netanyahu to the lack of engagement on the oil spill, issues are left to fester or handled so quickly without thought. His lack of support for the green revolution in Iran left the movement with little inspiration.

He was so anxious to make the world like the US that everyone now feels they can do what they want. Brazil and Turkey had no issue giving Iran uranium. Look how Chavez keeps taking over more and more of Venezuala. Look how we still have had no response to North Korea sinking a South Korean boat. What do you think that tells the world?

You do realize health reform hasn't gone into effect yet, right? If those changes were made, that was at the discretion of your providers and/or doctors. As for Arizona... what does this have to do with Arizona again? As someone highlighted on the other thread, Obama's administration has been very aggressive in prosecuting and deporting illegal immigrants.

God folks like PP will pretty much believe anything they're told. This is basically cobbled-together urban legend and Limbaugh/Beck fantasy. But it sounds good on paper, and gives the irrational partisans the fig-leaf they need to hate on Obama. You guys are every bit as bad as any of the ANSWER nutjobs, or LaRouche, just more mainstream.

Meanwhile, the reason Bush was pilloried by pretty much *everyone* in the immediate wake of Katrina is that human beings were FUCKING DYING ON HIGHWAY OVERPASSES DAYS AFTER THE DISASTER.

That's exactly like Obama not micromanaging an oil spill clean-up.
