I highly doubt your ability to determine nationality through a photo. What you saw was someone who you believe has the physical characteristics of an Indian. That person may or may not be an Indian. At 19 years of old from Missouri, there is a strong possibility that he is American.
of Indian descent . They guy is clearly not Caucasian

Exactly. And yet this is supposed to be an attack by a white supremacist. Honestly, whoever did the casting call for this hire really bungled it.

It's a Nazi flag. The flag has a swastika on it, obviously, but Hindus don't have such flags.

That is nothing like the flag that the accused had:

the guy is Indian

I am a Hindu. We don’t put swastikas on flags.

The name strongly suggests he is Indian American, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been influenced by hateful extremist ideologies.

You can't tell. I have a very distinctive Chinese name. But my parents came to the us over 70 years ago and I was born in the US nearly 60 years ago. I know many people of Hindu Indian descent who are native born Americans and whose parents emigrated to the US many many years ago. Also, I was raised in an era where there was a lot of anti-Asian sentiment so we were encouraged to be as American as we could and to minimize our own cultural past to avoid the stigma of being an alien American. And especially in an area that is conservative like Missouri, his family could have easily tried to suppress their heritage of origin.

This guy is only 19 and could easily be American and culturally completely non-Indian. There is no way to tell from a photo.

This is funny. The white supremacist from Allen Texas was Hispanic. Now we have an Indian white supremacist. What on gods green earth is going on here?!

The article that was cited above shows this flag:

with comments like this:

The homeowner says the swastika is a traditional Hindu religious symbol that has nothing to do with Nazis

"This symbol, if you go to India, in every temple that symbol is there," he said.

Gaba, who is Hindu, is playing host to a spiritual leader — a man believed by his followers to be an immortal living saint, Brahmrishi Shri Gurudev. The flags are flying outside his home for a few days to celebrate the occasion.

Just because they display a swastika and Nazi flag does not necessarily make them white supremacist. Besides being pro-Aryan, the Nazis were very anti-Semitic. Someone can be anti-Semitic and not be a white supremacist or BIPOC racist.

...KANDULA was asked to elaborate on what he favors about the Nazi's, to which he stated that he admires their "authoritarian nature, Eugenics, and their one world order". When asked if he looks up to any leaders, KANDULA answers "Hitler, because he was a strong leader".

This is scary as the accused doesn't seem to have a very good grasp of either Nazis or Hitler. The Eugenics that he cites refers to any non-Aryan, which includes Kandula, himself. As a dark-skinned non-Aryan, he would be considered impure and a target for the Eugenics. And Hitler himself would have looked down upon Kandula with disgust as he would have been considered racially impure.

How can a brown Indian guy be a white supremicist? What the hell...now I’ve seen it all!

We just went through several days of people saying, "How can a Hispanic guy be a white supremacist" despite that guy having swastikas tattooed on himself.

The original Aryans inhabited northern India. If this guy really is Indian, maybe he thinks he is an Aryan.

Some Indians believe that Aryans originated from India.

His last name suggests a South Indian origin, specifically the state of Andhra Pradesh. Those regions are descended from Dravidian peoples. This is just an extremely misguided young man.
