The windows are also very easy to move which was important to them due to arthritis. They get the best of both types of room that way. They did say the windows were pricey.

These are EZE Breeze or Sunspace vinyl windows. We have a screened porch with Sunspace windows that slide up or down. We have a gas fireplace in it, so we can use the room year-round.

We are considering Sunspace windows and would love any insight or things to consider before ordering them. Thanks!

We have the Sunspace windows and the only issue/concern is to make sure that the face of the windows where your installing them is flat/flush and wide enough to accommodate the windows. Our installer worked with our carpenter/handyman to have him trim out the windows before measuring for the windows. They are great. They do limit airflow a little bit so in the deep summer I would prefer to remove them completely (very easy) to maximize air but keep them in this time of year and open as needed. It does keep pollen out of our porch really well and keeps it warmer in the shoulder seasons with a small heater! I love them. It was about $6k to do two doors and windows (we have a “half wall” porch) on our 3 sided 11x20 porch.

Sunroom or 3 season room or family room all better than porch in dmv area. Cleaning pollen out of a screened porch I’d a terrible problem to have every year. Turning our porch into a second family room with TV and gas fireplace was a wonderful change.

I’d want to convert my deck into a screened in porch with one of those motorized/retractable screens.

Screened in porch, with the retractable screen, which we have. Love it!
