But Vienna and Reston are the epitome of charm.

Vienna is shit

Frederick is no longer an exurb. Keep driving out 70 and exurb starts around Middletown and then Boonboro, Hagerstown, and Martinsburg.

Ashburn and Leesburg aren’t exurbs.
Yes they are, dear.

Places that have their economies and job centes are not exurbs. Frederick might seen like an exurb to you because you live in a DC centric bubble but it is not.

I live in the Villages of Urbana which feels like MoCo extended. However, when you drive further north up towards Hagerstown there's definitely a much different vibe. To me, Hagerstown is an exurb.

Worst: Columbia, Woodbridge, Calvert, Stafford.
I live in Calvert. Why is it the worst? Northern Calvert (Owings, Sunderland, Dunkirk, Huntingtown) is nice, good schools, easy access to DC.

Calvert is nice, Charles County is one of the worst.

Vienna and Reston are both literally cookie cutter planned communities. Nothing is organic there. If you love strip malls and shitty TGI Fridays, you’ll feel right at home.

Exurbs aren’t rural. They are far flung suburbs, which is exactly what Ashburn is.

Frederick also has a noticeable problem with homelessness.

Sorry but parts of Leesburg are still rural. It's a big area. Have you ever driven down Harmony Church Rd?

So you havent been to Leesburg then? Adorable historic town.

I'm not a huge fan of Loudoun county, but Leesburg has a nice downtown. Ashburn could have been nice, but all the treed areas were mowed down and replaced with those awful data centers.
