There is a special place in Hell for John Phillips and hopefully he is burning in it.

I watched the reruns of One Day At a Time when I was a kid. I've not read this book though, it sounds like very strong meat.

As was Sammy Hagar's.

Who is Sammy Hagar?

Um lead singer in 90s for Van Halen.
Red rocker.
No offense, but how old are you?

Terrible book. Complete grandiose waste of time.

I had forgotten Slash had written a bio. That has got to be worth reading.

I'll have to check this out. I love Gn' R but frankly, I'm astonished that they're all still alive, given the debauchery and sheer amount of substances they all consumed in their heyday. Some years ago, I read Duff McKagan's memoir "It's So Easy, and Other Lies" and enjoyed it. He is very lucky to be alive, having cheated death from alcoholic pancreatitis. It was inspiring to hear about how he clawed his life back and his continuing journey with sobriety.

Was just coming here to post this one. That was a great book. I loved his complete health turnaround and how he stunned his doctors. Then as he was getting healthy discovering reading and going to college. And I ugly cried when his dog died.

Trevor Noah, Born a Crime. Fascinating, funny and moving.

I rarely read books by celebrities but I’m currently reading and enjoying Noah’s Born a Crime after learning about it here. A few years ago I listened to Shonda Rhime’s “Year of Yes” and loved it.

Does Catherine Steadman count as a celebrity? I really like her thrillers.

Has anyone read any of David Duchovny's books?

+1 plus all the Brooke Shields' books are great

I liked Spare by Prince Harry - same ghost writer as the Andre Agassi bio (JR Moehringer, whose own memoir "The Tender Bar" is excellent)

I've read quite a few of the Real Housewives bios and can't recommend any of them.

+1 so annoying. If I had to hear him croon out "Green lights" one more time. ugh

Jessica Simpson book was surprisingly good. I did the audiobook.

Great book.

For fiction, I liked Tom Hanks' story stories.
