| I loved Matthew McConaughey’s Green Lights. |
|
Chasing The Light by Oliver Stone
The Actor’s Life by Jenna Fischer |
| I enjoyed the Ethan Hawke novel, A Bright Ray of Darkness. I've not read any of his other books, but I actually finished that one and I give up on a lot of books before finishing them. |
|
I really liked The Wreckage of My Presence by Casey Wilson (supporting actress in a lot of stuff and RH fan)
and Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner (Japanese Breakfast singer) |
|
Oh haha I came here to say I liked Green Lights.
The Storyteller by Dave Grohl is pretty good too and has a NOVA / DC connection. |

Oh yeah, well if you include celebrity biographies and autobiographies, those by Rob Lowe, Michael J Fox, Jodie Foster (written by her brother, I think) as well as Melissa Gilbert are GREAT. When my kids were tiny I'd drop them at their 3 hour preschool and sit and read these in the biography section of the library before picking them up. Time well spent. |
| The Slash bio was remarkable. A whole crazy world. |
|
I loved Demi Moore's autobiography and I recommend listening to it if you can.
Same for Trevor Noah and Amy Schumer. |

Just Kids - Patti Smith

Matthew Perry's book was really great. He explained addiction better than anyone I've ever seen (and I've read three of Russel Brand's books).
Rob Lowe's book was great, as was Michelle Obama's as people said above. Ross Matthews first book was great and funny. |
|
Ben Folds bio was readable.
|
I ugly cried when Mrs. Obama’s father died in her biography. Penny Marshall’s biography was pretty interesting, although all I knew of her was that she was Garry Marshall’s little sister, she was Laverne and she directed A League of Their Own, so I enjoyed learning all that she’d done. |
Thank you for this. I didn't know it existed and I loved her, thought she was hilarious and brilliant. |
