Super Mario Brothers Movie

I found it similar to Lego movie where it was just good, animated fun, yet Lego movie had a more of a plotline to follow which made it a little more engaging (for the adults at least). I hope they make a sequel and work a little on the script next time.
Come on! Even the trailer revealed some plot!

There 100% is a plot.

Saying this is violent is exactly like saying- Don't go see Looney Toons, it's violent!

It is not rated G. It is rated PG.

This was one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Boring. Unfunny. My 6 year old loved it.

LOVED IT! The movie and music evoked warm memories of the many hours I spent playing Super Mario Bros with my siblings and then later, Super Mario World, as a new bride whose husband was working swing shift.

Our tween son kept me in the know about other characters I'd missed over the years. I would see this movie again with no complaint, and likely will this weekend as my husband now wants to see it based on my review. signed, 51 yo female

The 3D was nothing special.

My 9 and 13 year olds just saw and we all loved it. Good fun.

My 4 year old loved it. I was thankful that the violence was far more wholesome and cartoony than other things we have watched, like Raya and the last dragon or Bolt or Incredibles. The bad guy was scary at first but as a PP said they made it silly which toned it down. I personally thought it was fun to watch with all the nods to video games - those details went over my kids’ heads but made it fun for the adults.

You are no fun and a stick in the mud. How old are you 80 plus? Your kid has taste so there is hope

I thought it was fun. My expectations were low and I was a Super Mario kid / still play on the Switch today, so I'm probably about as close to their target for my age band as it gets. The plot was thin, but there--but if you enjoy the games and have that nostalgic feeling about the music ... and aren't asking for anything that is going to be challenging ... it's fun! Stay for the end scenes... there's a scene midway through the end credits and then what must be a tiny teaser at the very very end. Worth waiting for.

I really wanted to like it but thought it was a little boring. A few good scenes, but overall just meh.

Pretty lame if you ask me

It was so stupid but my six-year-old loved it. My four-year-old was very scared of Bowser. I would probably not bring a super young or fearful kid. Oops.
