| If you are house poor because you are **entitled** to producing 3 children and living in a $2m home, send kids to a local college as commuters |
University of Spoiled Children. OP's kids will fit right in. |
+1 Person with 170K family combined income who knows she is upper middle class because life just aint that hard. I lived in a developing country where I regularly saw malnourished people who lived in cardboard and tin shacks. To call my lifestyle anything less than middle class (or on a global scale upper class) is an insult to the suffering they go through. Compare yourself to the global population here: https://wid.world/income-comparator/ |
Are ludicrously capacious bags still cool? |
the last bastion of the incompetent rich

Irrelevant without taking into account COL. |
| No. Go away rich snowflake. |
+1 plenty of good schools that aren't that expensive. And I say this an UMC donut family who won't be paying USC prices for college. It's not worth it. We don't get any financial aid, and the worse thing I can do for my college aged kid is to saddle them with college debt or helping us when we retire because we shelled out almost $800K for a college degree (two kids) they could've gotten with equally great results at the state flagship for a fraction of the cost. Not worth it if it's going to hurt you financially. |

All the USC haters make me laugh.
You and your kids couldn't get in rn, 9.9% acceptance rate. The private jet thing is fr though. We know of several students there whose families roll that way. |
They said in DC. Sadly, if you insist on living in the city, this is true. |

Overpriced |
This is bullshit. A dollar is a dollar no matter where you go. In fact, many countries run on the dollar. Even when you take into account cost of living, Americans are wealthier and have more luxuries (clean water right from the tap, flush toilets, abundant food which is even given away in food pantries) than most people in the world. To live in denial of this is to be an a-hole. Especially when the information you need to test your theory about cost of living and the reality that most of the world lives in poverty while you and I live in extreme wealth comparatively is right at your fingertips. Prove me wrong. With links and statistics and a comparison of cost of living. I'll wait. |

Americans are rich compared to the rest of the world:
