$500k is middle class in DC now

Lol so dramatic. Given your poor math skills OP its unlikely your kids are getting into USC without a varsity blues situation anyway so maybe with the bribes that is so typical of middle class.

Also, middle class is determined by salary, not how much things cost that you want . . .

Who wants to go to smoggy LA for school?

It’s been known as “University of Spoiled Children” for at least 40+ years.

Daycare is at minimum $3k/month, so $36k per year per kid of daycare. A house in a good school district is $2M at minimum. And so on.

OMG! And private jet flights to visit the kids in California have now hit $50k. This is so unfair.

LOLOL. Amazing how the more expensive our tastes get, the lower we move on the class ladder, huh?

A $500k house you mean? Surely you don't mean $500k HHI, lol.

Full of entitlement. You don't need $1m for college for 3 kids. UMD costs $110k for a 4-year degree.

Being UMC or UC doesn't mean you can afford everything you want. I grew up actually MC and my parents weren't able to save the full cost of college, we didn't have a house in the best school district, we drove our cars into the ground, we didn't take international vacations or even vacations that required a plane trip. If you think you're middle class on a half a million dollars a year, you're living in an absurd bubble.

You are so out of touch with reality.

If you earn $500k per year, you are rich. Just not wealthy.
