My friend just mentioned that she goes through a 2 liter container of 2% every day, and I gagged.
I only use it in coffee and sometimes tea, and only a drop. And I use skim. I didn't think adults actually drank that much milk, but maybe I'm the odd one here?

Like…on her own? 2 LITERS of milk in a single day, every day? That doesn’t sound right. Where would you even buy milk in liters

Everywhere where milk is sold? 2 liters is a half-gallon.

So when you buy that half-gallon it’s labeled in liters?

PP, you can say the amount of milk in liters even if it happens to be in a container that is not labeled as liters. This might blow your mind…but you could go to a different country that does not use gallons and still say the words “1/2 gallon.”

One adult, two little kids. We go through approximately 1.5-2 gallons of milk a week. I drink it with meals sometimes, in my tea every morning, on cereal, and use a lot of it in cooking (cheese sauce, quiche, muffins, sandwich bread, etc).

It's fine if you don't like milk but gagging? Really? Grow up.

Go to the grocery store and look at a carton of milk before embarrassing yourself.

I use lactose free milk in my cappuccino every morning…. About 2 oz a cup. The 1/2 gallon container lasts forced so I prob buy it every 2 weeks or so.

DS is sensitive to milk these days so he uses almond milk in his cereal. I use it in my overnight oats, and DH uses it in his smoothies…. So we go thru 1/2 gallon every 5 days. I

We also have creamy oatmilk for DH coffee.

I joked that we have so many different kinds of milk and none just regular. When kids were young we went thru a gallon every 1.5 weeks because we all used/drank it.

Yes! I was stunned. It takes me about two months to go through a liter.
We live in Canada. They come in liter cartons. (And of course in bags, which the rest of the world finds very funny).

Only soy milk, some 1/5th cup in my tea per day. I feel drinking cow milk for calcium is a bogus idea. If you eat a healthy diet (include greens, beans), there is no need to rely on animals.

I don’t drink any milk but my teen son goes through 2-3 bottles of fair life milk every week. The half gallon bottles. I use a splash of cream in my coffee every morning, but like op, the thought of drinking milk as a drink gags me.

That’s a lot on her own, I’m curious how, but whatever. It certainly doesn’t make me gag. I buy whole milk. I drink a glass or two a day, use it in coffee and for cereal every other day or so.

We were going through two gallons per week before our oldest went to college, now down to one. Youngest only pours it on cereal, my DH has a glass with dessert, and we use it with cereal, oatmeal, coffee, recipes etc.

I don't drink dairy milk (lactose intolerance), but the rest of my family does. We buy 2%. I use oat milk as a substitute in my coffee.

I drink half and half in coffee in morning. That’s it. DD drinks almond milk in her cereal or oatmeal probably every other day.

When the 3 kids were at home and my husband was still drinking milk, we'd go through about 4-5 gallons a week. Milk in cereal and in coffee/tea, plus all of us but our middle daughter would drink a glass of milk with dinner. We just like milk.

Now the kids are in college (and one is out of college), and my husband, much to his sorrow, has become lactose intolerant in middle age. I buy one 1/2 gallon of whole milk for myself each week, and he drinks almond milk.

My DH and I don’t have kids and don’t buy milk. If I want a weekend cappuccino I’ll buy it. Maybe twice a year I’ll buy a small container of whole milk and struggle to find recipes to use it before it goes bad. Very rarely if I eat something really sweet and dry like cake I might crave a glass of milk.

I buy the shelf stable Horizon for this reason. I drink t in coffee but only have coffee maybe once a week, if that. Generally if I have coffee I buy it out, so I just keep the small packs for baking, etc.

Oh I love milk. Could drink a half gallon a day. But it has too many carbs.
