How much milk do you drink, whether in coffee, in cereal, or any other way?
My friend just mentioned that she goes through a 2 liter container of 2% every day, and I gagged. I only use it in coffee and sometimes tea, and only a drop. And I use skim. I didn't think adults actually drank that much milk, but maybe I'm the odd one here? |
| Zero, and I don't use any substitutes like almond, soy, etc. I never liked it and don't use it for anything. |
| I bought milk for the first time in probably three years last week because I wanted some Cheerios. Lactaid protein. Otherwise there is never milk in here. |
| In coffee. I started eating some cereal, so a small amount in that. |
| Zero |
| We go through a half-gallon every 4-5 days. Family of 4. I use it for coffee, occasionally cereal. I cook with it also…homemade Mac & Cheese, béchamel, soups. I like 2%. There’s a brand called Alexander Organic A2 milk… it’s delicious! |

Before kids, I never had it at home. Maybe once in a blue moon I’d buy it for a recipe. My parents bought skim milk when I was a kid and I never really liked it. When I was pregnant with my first, I had a huge craving for cold milk. I tried whole milk and became obsessed! Craved it in all of my pregnancies. Now I use a splash of half and half in my coffee (nave drank coffee before kids) and will have some whole milk with cereal maybe once a month. I’ll have a small glass of milk sometimes with spicy food, also maybe once a month.
I had a (male) roommate who drank a gallon of whole milk every few days. He was pretty skinny and was trying to bulk up. Maybe he mixed it with protein powder, but I was always shocked by the amount of milk he consumed. |

I drink probably a glass a day sometimes more. When I was in my 20s and 30s I easily drank 3 glasses of day. My husband drinks a couple glasses a day of skim. We are of Irish ancestry. I actually get stomach aches if I don’t have milk!

| A lot - I don't keep track but we go through maybe a 1/2 gallon every 2-3 days. Husband and kids like it with cereal and just to drink. I don't drink it. |
| Only in a cup of coffee. |
| Just with cereal and recipes |
| Teen boy would go through 1/2 gallon a day, but now I go through a gallon in a little over a week (he is away at college now). The rest of our family drinks what I refer to as "fake milk" and I don't give a damn that the FDA disagrees. It's fake milk. Soy and oat is what the 2 others drink. |
| Our family of 4 (2 teens) go through about 2.5 gallons per week -- mostly the kids drinking milk with breakfast and/or dinner. I eat cereal about once a week and have milk in that, plus I drink about a cup or so with cake or cookies or some such dessert. My husband has some with cereal about once or twice a month. All four of us eat lots of yogurt (about twice a week) and cheese (by itself and in recipes) and butter (on toast and in recipes). Mostly Northern European ancestry. |
| I never used to drink any, but now I use a gallon per week to make yogurt. My husband likes it on his coffee. Neither we nor our kids drink it. My kids stopped drinking milk when they stopped getting bottles at one or so. |

A lot.
We buy only whole milk. I use a splash in my tea and kids drink some. But most of it goes towards making yogurt and paneer. |
