I know nobody knows but...when do you think TJ decisions will be released?

Which school?

Is that true? My kid goes to a school that normal if sends a lot and none of the friends heard yet. I suppose they could all be waitlisted or denied but it is a bright group.

I think the earlier post about getting emails is likely an April Fool prank

Regarding the waitlist… is it school-specific, or from the whole pool of applicants?

Fairly certain that it depends on what type of spot is vacated. If the school would drop below its number of allotted spaces, the spot would be filled by a student from that school. But if it is not, the spot will be filled from the full waitlist.

For TJ, waitlist is not school specific. Even if a school drops below its quota, remaining seats are counted as unallocated seats. The waitlist is usually pretty big..around 1000 kids or so..so chances of getting admission for waitlisted kids are usually slim.

For AOS, the waitlist is school specific. Each school has a maximum quota, unlike TJ. However this is a big disadvantage for schools who likely have more number of qualified kids but AOS won’t take any more above the school quota.

Meaning Stone Hill and Brambleton, maybe Willard.

Eagle Ridge as well

This year, I thought Eagle Ridge had quite a few kids get in. Is that inaccurate? Does anyone know the school-specific stats on how many took the test and what percentage got in to the Academies.

Define quite a few. It had a minimum of 12 for AOS & AET I think.

I doubt if TJ results would be announced tomorrow as it is spring break. So either April 14 or April 21 it looks like. April 28 is the last day so probably they won't wait that long.

Sooooo, this Friday???

It’s thought to be Friday as historically the release was on a Friday. But technically it could be any weekday between today and April 28th.

I am wondering it will be released this Thursday!
