My kid is hoping to know before break, but I think April 28. |
It’s supposed to be on or before April 28th. But I am hoping they would announce sooner. Academies of Loudoun (AET/AOS) were supposed to release their results by end of March but they announced on March 3rd itself. TJ mentioned in their middle school presentation that they will try to match Academie’s timeline as there could be students admitted to academies and getting offer from TJ..that would help keep the waitlist moving.
So let’s see. |
USACO website is so dysfunctional. Can't even figure out eligibility!!
|
What does this have to do with TJ applicants? |
??? Wrong thread? |
There have been no interruptions in the admissions timeline like there have been in recent years due to the foibles of the "Coalition 4 TJ", which has successfully managed to disrupt the 2025 and 2026 processes without achieving anything of significance.
Based on previous history, my best guesses would be that you'd see release on a Friday within the next 2-3 weeks. This Friday would be a little too early, but I'd expect to see something in the next two Fridays after that. Usually release happens somewhere between 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Given that Spring Break this year is the first week of April, if I were a betting person I'd put money on 3/31. |
Does anyone know how long after finding out kids have to accept or decline the offer? |
+ 1 - definitely a Friday late afternoon and typically before spring break. |
That would be awesome if the kids find out March 31 |
Betting on March 31 |
I think that's the most likely scenario. |
Why this sudden date change? TJ infornmed after the test April 28th. Let's stick to it. |
The official designation for that late April date has always been “on or before”. In years where there are no artificial interruptions to the process - such as global pandemics or nuisance lawsuits - decisions are usually released either in late March or early April, on a Friday afternoon. |
Holistic admissions takes a lot longer to review applicants. |
The process has always been holistic on some level. They just have fewer metrics with which to work now. No teacher recommendations - which I would like to see return in a new form - for example. |
