…Yeah but they were his own secrets.

Why did this guy go on the run and end up like this? It’s white collar financial stuff, not like, a pedophilia charge.

My second (third?) cousin started a new business right before the '08 financial crisis. Had tried to get my brother - they were former colleagues and one-time room mates - to go in with him, but brother declined as we are a major risk averse family. Sadly, the crisis hit just some months later and his business started going belly up. His partner drew up some fraudulent documents in an attempt to land a contract and my cousin transmitted at least one of them. He got hit with four federal charges and convicted. He just couldn't handle the prospect of prison - I don't even remember the length of his sentence and he killed himself the night before he was to report. Left behind two kids and his parents. His older brother had been murdered 25 years earlier. He probably would have been out of prison by now....

Some people aren't cut out for prison and they know it

Has it been rumored what sort of $ level we're talking about? Was he accused of mishandling or whatever millions of dollars?

It is. We weren't talking about millions of dollars. I don't think the allegations of wrongdoing amounted to half a million. I guess he couldn't stomach the idea of prison.

I work in state government, so I couldn't resist downloading the short "books" that appeared on Amazon, purportedly authored by "Ryan Cooper," who seems to have been either McGraph or the president of some secret fan club of his. Regardless of the author's identity, they desperately needed an editor. I read the first mini-book last week and just started the second (which is only about 45 pages). The author focuses on odd things, like a colleague he dislikes changing her surname after marriage. The book, which describes Larry Hogan as "mercurial" and demanding behind the scenes, is written from the perspective of someone who views Hogan as a RHINO concerned more about his public image than conservative causes. One interesting chapter addresses the Korean COVID test debacle and Hogan's fury that the tests purchased did not work, which he unfairly directed at his staff and state health officials.

Hogan is a republican in Maryland.

It's unclear to me (still?) did he shoot himself or did agents shoot him?

It's still not clear (and very strange). I have not seen the question answered directly.

What a surprise, more GOP criminality. Even the non MAGAts are still filthy corrupt and criminal.

Never EVER vote GOP

The investigation is now finished. It was both.
