What do you like about steak?

Give me an Outback Steakhouse filet and I am in heaven! Never had a filet taste better other than cooked at home.

None has been worth the high dollar price.

There’s something so primal in the satisfaction of a perfectly cooked, medium-rare steak. Ribeye is my favorite. All it needs is some kosher salt, a little cracked pepper, and some heat. The combination of the salty crust, the charred fat, and the savory flavor is irresistible to me.

I haven’t eaten beef in 15 years (I had an alpha gal allergy from a tick bite and before that was never really into beef before then) but was cajoled into eating a steak at a restaurant yesterday. It was an upscale steak restaurant and the steak was an expensive ($72) fillet mignon. After 15 years of not eating it all I could taste was salt and the meat to me just felt like I was eating a salty, stringy mop head. Add to that I felt like it took 2 days to digest. So steak eaters, as someone who really can’t understand the appeal, what is it you like about steak?

Do you always salt your mop heads?

You say it took two days to digest, but you also say you just ate it yesterday. That doesn’t make sense.

Ah, I see that you’re insufferable.

Come OFF it. “Pollo-pescetarian”? LMAO. You are an omnivore, girl, same as most of us. Big deal, you don’t eat some meats. But you do eat meat and animal products, so stop. Really.

Yes so so good

Like everyone else says, filet is not necessarily the best. I like a ribeye, T-bone, or sirloin.
