| I think go for Pineapple and Pearls. Good experience especially not on your dime. I’m sure they can accommodate your sensitivity or you can just skip that course. |

They've really gone down the last few years. Reviews very spotty lately: https://www.yelp.com/biz/bistro-provence-bethesda |

I've heard good things about Voltaggio Brothers in National Harbor, but it's beyond what I want to spend on a meal.
Consider the Wagyu steak. It's only $299. |

Maryland is a wasteland for fine dining. Better options in DC.
Tail Up Goat Metier Fiola Bourbon Steak |
| OP back again, thanks for the new suggestions, I'll look them up! Bourbon Steak is still the leader, but I haven't made a final decision. |
Agree. It’s been years but I still feel cheated after our overpriced, tasteless meal. Minibar and pineapples and pearls are both crazy expensive but worth it. |

+1 on Bourbon Steak, it is both really good and really expensive. But let me make a plug for the nearby Marcel's, one of the best restaurants in town, and one where you can go with more courses to really run up the score. The food is superb. |
| Bourbon Steak has declined in recent years, IMO. It used to be a really special experience. Now, service isn’t as good, but prices are still as high. I have liked Joe’s but it seems a little more corporate. Fiola Mare since you like seafood. I would do Sushi Nakazawa since it’s not in the Trump hotel now. And we had a lovely meal at Masseria. |
Boring AF. Try Cut by Wolfgang Puck nearby in Georgetown. Best food I have had in ages. |
