I know he embodies nepotism, but agree that he’s a nice guy, as was his dad.

I think he’s well known to be charming and friendly.

Like 20 years ago, my dad got into playing poker with some friends of my uncle. A few of them were in politics. They said he's much smarter than he comes across.

I think the smartest people play dumb to seem more manipulable/trustworthy/less threatening. He’s obviously very smart.

We met Jose Andres and as if this would surprise anyone, but he is just the absolute nicest guy! So warm, made our kids laugh. The greatest.

I waited on Dana Perino and complimented her when she was leaving, she gave me a hug

Also introduced myself to Susan Rice when I was waiting tables, she was nice and encouraging (asked me if I was in school, told me to keep it up)

Bill Clinton shook my hand when I was in middle school - he is charisma embodied

Waited on the character actor Michael Shannon a few times - before he was super successful (they were in town for a show his wife was in with the Shakespeare Theater) - he became a regular and was very friendly and kind

Thanks for sharing this! Glad to hear this about Michael Shannon. He comes across, as the saying goes, like a regular guy and not a "celebrity." I like the "jobbing actors" like him, who seem to take the work--but not themselves--seriously, and who don't have any attitude or big craving for constant attention. And very, very often, they tend to be superb actors since they aren't caught up in ego and status, but are more interested in their work.

Yes I think someone told me that at work.

Snoop Dogg helped my friend pick up spilled luggage at LAX.

+1

My mom met him in a CVS parking lot years ago. She said he was alone (no bodyguard or entourage).

It might surprise some people---- Bryant Gumbel. When my dd was 10, we were flying from DCA - NYC on the shuttle. Bryant stopped to talk to my dd, asked about her interests, and signed an autograph. Really nice.

We met Matt Lauer another time + was actually really nice. Same with Alec Baldwin. Crazy, but true.

Yes. He is extremely nice and personable. Definitely larger than life. His whole family is great. Kids went to the same elementary school.

Met Michael Jordan in the mid 90s at the height of his fame - super nice and conversational - I was pregnant and he gave me new parent advice. Also met/worked with Billy Jean King. She was more of a Diva/had a crew/ but also very nice and friendly.

I met Lauren Bacall a few times. Lovely person and he always remembered my name.

I also met him and he was super nice. And sharp as a tack.

Jewel. Excellent sense of humor and so fun. Holly Williams. Dan Bongino, who is also swoon-worthy. Ted Cruz.

Perry Farrel from Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros also super nice, shared some fun gossip about other musicians, had a drink with me and my friends.

I wish I was among the seemingly thousands of people in this area who have come across Dave Grohl. I have such a huge crush on him and, as a musician (drums, guitar, bass), I really want to chill with him and talk about music.

I met Jim Harbaugh (Michigan head coach) after Michigan played Maryland. Nice guy who signed autographs and took selfies with people. I met Bill Clinton when I was in middle school. He definitely turned on his charm.
