Why is there so much Indian content on Netflix now?

She is an Afghani refugee so different country and culture but he saw some similarity. I could tell he had a crush and glad he could see someone similar to her as a lead. He is such an open book.

I am Indian and I basically watch a lot of Hollywood, Bollywood, Pakistani dramas, Spanish shows (kid is taking Spanish in HS and wants to build up his language skills), Turkish serials (most good looking cast), Chinese dramas, Korean dramas.

I am cocky.

I am comfortable with all kinds of diversity. I also like to pick up other languages so right now it is Turkish phrases and Spanish. The beauty of living in this age is that you can access content from every part of the world. Why would you just watch FOX news?

We probably watch the same things. I don't like the Spain Spanish programming as much (Holy Family was amazing though) but the scenery is usually beautiful. I like the Colombian and Mexican Spanish shows more. Turkey and Korea reign supreme but are very different.

He is one of the less surprising names there. He appeals to a wide audience and kids love all his movies. My kids don't have many favorite or know many actors by name but they knew him since pre school.

I know someone joked about it, but if you Google Netflix and India, you'll find lots of quotes from CEO Reed Hastings sayings that they want to grow in India. So they actually are actively courting that market now!

Paying customers.

Netflix wants paying customers. Fox wants armed white supremacists. They are all catering to their customers.

I pay top dollar for my netflix, I want movies that I can understand and watch. its very simple that provide a service
if they cant for the viewer then I go to another provider and take my business there.

Lots of Indians in the world. Netflix wants their money too.

My netflix account is mostly north american films, then its like flooded
with indian Bollywood fims, korean, chinese and northern germanic films.
whats going on? I pay good money to see film, I think they should cater
to north americans. Oh and if they cant do any thing about that then
add more films faster rather then making me wait for NEXT WEEK.
I really dont want to go to another provider because I like netflix
its easy to set up and pay as you go. But if they keep dooing this I
might have to.

The foreign content is filler-cheaply acquired and gives the illusion that Netflix is abundantly full with content.

Agree this is a super weird question. Do you realize that India has a population three times the size of the US? Netflix is a global company. Lots and lots of Netflix subscribers in India.

Majority of Indian subscribers are also bilingual. They will watch Indian as well as English language content.

They're also hedging their bets that something will go viral like some of the Korean shows they acquired. They get a contract with a producer cheaply and can add a lot of content. It's just math.

You don’t even seem to know how to write in English.

I assume you are the previous PP who doesn’t know how to write in English. Or perhaps it’s parody?
