MCAP scores - weren't they supposed to be out in late January for some grades?

We're in AACPS and haven't gotten the results yet either.
Just had middle school info night last night and said placement decisions usually include MCAP results, but they haven't gotten them yet this year.

What in the universe is the point of a test whose results are so far removed from the actual testing. I expect any test that takes so much time to actually inform teaching. Clearly this isn't the case.

Are the results so bad they’re planning to release on Friday of Presidents Day Weekend?

Last year, we never even got a digital version, just a hard copy mailed home--unlike Howard County, which provides both digital and hard copies to families.

And we are only at the beginning of February.

They've had them for at least 10 days and couldn't upload the files to parentvue?

Not at all. The results are meaningless because it's a bad test that nobody has vetted.

This is a state test. Not sure that MCPS should be involved.

Well, it is involved. The kids take the tests at school, and the school is the one that sends the results home.

Right, you tell yourself that. MCPS is doing everything right here. The kids are doing great!
