With the exception of people with big families, dishwashers are for lazy Americans. Takes about 20 seconds to wash dishes.

Generally, the dishwasher is more energy efficient than hand washing. But, you do you.

That's hardly a scientific study. It's not even peer reviewed...GMAFB.

20 seconds?? Your dishes are dirty, trust me. Take your lazy american sentiment and get lost.

I don't. But you do you.

OP here. The dishwasher is broken in the house I am under contract to purchase. I don’t use one and normally at my old house it just sits empty and I run it a few times a year just to make sure it’s still working/clean it out. I have never found them to do a good job cleaning the dishes, hate the sound it makes and grew up cleaning dishes by hand even though we always had a dishwasher. I’d rather have a wine fridge that we’d get some use out of than leave a broken dishwasher to fill a space or buy a new one for it to sit unused for the next 5-10 years.

Probably a dog owner. No need to clean the dishes twice.

Not sure why you’re harping on this. I am a dog owner, and like many other dog owners, I have and enjoy a dishwasher.

You’re not washing your dishes well if it takes you 20 seconds.

Do yourself a favor and buy a Bosch 800 series, get some Finish pods, Jet Dry. Run your dishwasher. You will be amazed at how clean your dishes are.

Are you serious ?

This is a joke--intended to be humorous because I cannot imagine a reasonable person who thinks that hand-washing dishes is anywhere near as sanitary as a dishwasher.

Humor is a sign of intelligence & maturity.

Your wine fridge will not clean dishes well.

Dishwashers are silent.

I don’t want to eat off any dishes at your house if it only takes you 20 seconds.

Agreed. Disgusting.

Maybe she meant 20 seconds to wash one dish?

If it’s what you want, who cares what others think? For what it’s worth, I think it’s hilarious and would love you for it.
