Clueless about Strollers - Would love a rec

Snap N Go - used a TON when our DD was still in her infant car seat. Huge Basket. Super convenient for the first few months. We used this while we decided what other stroller we wanted.

BOB - Revolution...we use 95% of the time now. Its FANTASTIC. Rolls like a dream over cobblestones, curbs, roots, sand, snow, you name it. It is practically self-propelling!

MacLaren Techno XLR - We never use it. Compared to the BOB, it's rickety, more difficult to push, and not cheap. The only times we use it are for travel, since the BOB is bigger. Honestly, I wouldn't bother with this as a full-time stroller.

We used the Baby Bjorn when our little one was smaller, but it was very uncomfortable as she got bigger and heavier. The ERGO carrier is by far superior and much more versatile.

So, my two cents: BOB Revolution (and get infant car seat adaptor) and Ergo Baby Carrier. You won't need more.

care to share what do you mean by more versatile?
you can't carry the kid facing forward in the ergo

I'm a new poster, but the Ergo can be used for front carries or back carries...and holds pretty big toddlers unlike the Bjorn which gets pretty uncomfortable pretty quickly...

Beco is another option if you like the Ergo but want something prettier...

You can't carry any baby on your front facing out (like the bjorn) once they hit about 15 lbs because it will kill your back. A carrier with a hip belt (Ergo, Beco, pikkolo, etc) is much more versatile because you have so much more back support you can carry them much longer and not kill your back and shoulders.

I have a friend who carries her 15-month old FF in the baby bjorn and has since her daughter started daycare. They take the bus so the Ergo wouldn't work for her. I think there are different uses for the bjorn and the Ergo so it depends how OP might use it. I certainly agree that the Ergo lasts longer, but for some it isn't as practical.

Why doesn't the ergo work on the bus?

Great info from everyone..but I have the same question EXCEPT need to know what stroller(s) to get for TWINS? We are a very active couple and will def. need a running stroller. Any suggestions for newborn strollers??

No idea why someone would claim that, it's not any harder to get the baby in and out of the ergo. Of course, you CAN continue to carry your baby in a bjorn, you will just be much more comfortable in a ergo. Ergo is also better for the baby because they're sitting in the carrier instead of dangling by the crotch.

BS
the baby's weight in relation to the size of it's body and position on the Bjorn were never proven to be harmful.
my baby always loved to face fw, i couldn't walk 5 steps with him facing my chest, he wouldn't stay. ergo simply didn't work for us.
