Opinion Sought- IU-Kelly / Pitt Business undergrad

Hard choice since Pitt is offering a free ride. If money is not a significant issue go with IU. If money is a big factor in your decision making criteria choose Pitt. Good Luck

Pitt for god's sake no one should be sending a kid to Indiana for any univ right now.

Ugh

Pitt is better anyway even before all the crap coming from Repukes.

I'd send my kid to Indiana just to get him away from you Dobbs dorks.

If your dc is even considering law school, the full ride at Pitt means a lot. I can afford to pay for law school for my dd who is thinking about it and I cringe at the prices (especially knowing what I paid 30 years ago). You also say your dc plans on an MBA - have them check out the work experience of entering MBA’s at grad schools they would want to go to and see if they can get those jobs from both IU and Pitt. They will end up in forever career from MBA. The job between undergrad and grad school is to help get them to MBA or law school based on what I’m hearing. That tells me Pitt would be fine and would save money for further education.

Full disclosure: slight bias bc I live in Pittsburgh area and have a kid at Pitt (although not in business school). It’s a fabulous place. However, I also grew up and lived in Midwest for many years and have lots of relatives who went to IU. I know what a special place it is.

Two tough choices but I would take the money. And if the scholarship was at IU, I would say the same thing - follow the money.
