DH always puts his mom on speakerphone

Elderly mom, living alone with health issues that needs a daily check-in call then yes that daily call happens with multitasking.

My husband does this too and only with his mom. She talks on and on and is better behaved on speaker. He really doesn’t say much and calls the kids in one by one to say hi and talk for a few min. I pop in, say hi and leave.

Both my mom and MIL were like this. DH and I used to joke we could just make a recording of saying, yeah, uh-uh every 5 minutes and neither one would ever realize we weren’t even on the phone. Lol

I do this with people who just always call at the worst time. I let them know I need to put them on speaker though.
