Is this the old Planet Fitness location behind Eden center?

Cool upgrade but not a place OP should visit at 1am unless she looks like the men in the pictures (ie, big and strong enough no one will mess with them, I mean)

Ok this explains things. A lot of the regular lifters at 24 hr fitness suddenly disappeared. I am guessing they went here

The long-time OL locations are cheaper. I've been paying $39/mo for multiclub.

But the inconsistency is so weird. Some gyms provide big towels free, some make you sign up for a towel fee. Some have pools, others don't, and the price does not seem to match up to amenities. I think it's purely based on the leasing price the gyms pay.

Wild. For the difference in price it's definitely worth it to sign up at a cheaper facility and visit the others.

Rockville and Olney are also $49

Pike and Rose is $59

You can’t. You need a signature gym membership to visit signage gyms; the lower price only gets you the old OL locations. It’s pretty clear on website.

This is my experience and I’m the poster that mentioned I switched to crystal city. One thing that is nice is the “premier” location is less crowded, especially at night. And I never have to wait for a lane at the pool and rarely need to split and lane with somebody that has no idea how to do that and not punch you in the face. Does suck that the pool is only 25 yards, but once I did the math on doing a membership at other close pools and the lack of waiting for a lane basically ever I decided on crystal city.

Oh wow that is a nice gym in Bailey crossroad. It’s an old superstore so huge. And plenty of parking. Good option over Ballston and it’s Fury Road parking lot.

Agree, looks great. Does anyone have experience with the kids club at this gym? For what ages it is? At which hours? How much is it?

When I was there it said Kids Club closed. Looked like for good. I would call and confirm though

yep, indeed, nothing about it on the main Gold's page. That really sucks

Ballston golds is ok, but not really worth the money anymore. I'm now paying just over $60/month, up nearly 50% since covid lockdown. Worse, there are almost no yoga classes anymore so I don't get much out of my membership. I'm close to switching to one life. I'd have to pay for parking there so the price is similar but it might be worth it for the classes. I think the kids club is barely or never open anymore.

+1

Lot of people try to game the system without reading the FINE PRINT.

When sports and health and OL used to be separate, I could use my Sports and Health membership at McLean and go to SH in Skyline or any OL in Rockville but OL membership could not go to SH. No different now vs. back then, they just name SH as OL premier.

I had no idea this existed. Looks absolutely amazing. I wish I lived closer.
I am personally using the Golds in Rosslyn. It is ok but equipment wise but recently got overrun by GWU students and I have mixed feelings about that felling like everyone’s mom.

That is the old planet fitness location. I might need to check it out, although parking in that whole area has been really bad on the weekend. Not sure what is going on.
