I disagree. It's because posts like yours and the PP above, always attacking, bashing MCPS. What do you expect them to do? It seems like no jurisdiction can discuss their schools without mentioning or taking a shot at MCPS. |
Oh please, I guarantee you that there are far more parents in MCPS who take pot shots at all of the other MD school systems than vice versa. The MCPS parents are arrogant and condescending and hypercritical of any school system that isn't theirs. |
Sure- because you know all MCPS parents, don't you? |
DP. No, I don't know all MCPS parents, but I will say that on DCUM, there are far more MCPS parents who are arrogant, condescending and aggressively insulting to non-MCPS parents. There is a reason why we had to ask first for a MD non-MCPS forum and later for a PGCPS forum. It was to be able to have discussions about other schools without the wolverine MCPS parents constantly disrupting discussions with their aggressive and insulting posts. Even with separate forums, it doesn't get rid of all of them, but it has cut it down so that it's only occasionally instead of routinely and daily. |
| HoCo checking in |
| I'm in PG County and once asked a question with a ton of negative and rude responses so I took my questions elsewhere disparaging both PG County and me so for sanity I haven't posted in over 3 years. Now I sometimes come to search here to see if anyone has asked my question already. |
| I'm surprised there isn't more Howard county here. Always lots going in in this county. |
The mostly post in the MoCo schools forum |
Was it a question on this board or back in the old days before MoCo was broken out? Generally I've found this board to be pretty helpful. Maybe try again if the question is still relevant. |
How does that make sense though? I wouldn't look or post there. |
There is more discussion going on there. This board can be pretty stagnant at times. |
| Mcps is sketchy. Teachers should quit bc they can't be bullied into making up data for tyrant principals |
| It's so crazy that when a teacher is in grad school it is all about obsessive data collection, volunteering, and working nonstop. Then when you graduate you are asked to turn a blind eye to bullying, bad behavior, safety concerns, and data manipulation all to make admin look good. They they nonrenewable good teachers during a crisis.guess what.this education corruption is why no one wants to teach for poverty wages. |
I have found the same to be true! God forbid you have to send your child to PGPS. |
| Mcps is very corrupt. They go through very many teacher career cutting and retaliation for not inflating grades. But then when admin breaks the law such as not reporting crime and violence they get promote. This is the open secret and until teachers fight back against a corrupt system that uses them the climate and ed levels will never improve in mcps. Also, the mcea union gives no support and further pules on busy work, at the cost of your meager salary |
