She did, but she also did a lot of parroting for Smith and Turner during the pandemic. |
I don’t know. I feel like I read everything she wrote (and tweeted) but I’m not sure what her personal feelings are re: the length of the closure. You could tell me she was on either side, and I’d believe you. I think that’s a sign of a good journalist |
+1. I felt very well-informed by reading Caitlynn's articles and the newsletters. She never seemed one-sided to me. |
Nope, just you. |
That's the beauty of excluding parents. You have no idea what she censored. |
I have no idea why you keeping coming back here to post the same complaints about someone who's already moved on to another job. Why don't you move on too? |
| Just ignore the troll with an axe to grind, folks! |
Caitlynn did not exclude parents. I am one she talked to and texted with frequently. I know of many others, some on the same side of an issue as I was, and others who were on the opposite side of what I was advocating for. |
I don’t know what her personal position was, either. But I do know that Smith and Turner could say anything and she’d print it without questioning the veracity of the statement. That seems worse than being up front about personal opinions. |
Except she wasn’t talking to you as a parent. She was talking to you as an MCEA leader. |

BB sucks now. When Bethesda Magazine bought it it started going down hill and now the new owners have ruined it.
It used to be a great local blog. Totally sucks now and the comments were great back in the day |
And get of my lawn! |
DP. I have no relationship to MCEA (I am a PTA member, but make like 1 out of 2 monthly meetings) and I also spoke with her a few times. I don’t know why you find it hard to believe other than perhaps your views that were not represented are outré and you don’t realize it. |
Journalists don't discriminate. You might be happy with a one-sided source of information, but many people prefer to get the whole story. |
I posted that (the parent who talked/texted with Caitlynn), and have nothing to do with MCEA or any other initialed group, other than having given some money to my local PTA. So you can keep making stuff up and bashing Caitlynn, but you are in the minority: the rest of us know that she did a great job in a tough environment. |
