McLean's more expensive than Bethesda, but it's a hybrid of Bethesda and Potomac. Or, stated conversely, Bethesda is a hybrid of McLean and Arlington. As for which is better, that depends on your preferences. |
silver springs |
has more in common with Arlington except better schools |
Takoma has more in common with Del Ray. They're both more interesting than most of these places. |
silver springs and p hills are the same lower rated schools, silver spring is lower than bethesda and pimmit is lower than mclean |
Weird - Blair is the best school in the county by a wide margin. |
No, you are bad at this. Annapolis is not a suburb. It's certainly not Old Town. |
lol no, Bethesda WW is #1, Blair is #34 https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/maryland/rankings |
Well, sure, in terms of outcomes but by best, most people mean great schools rating. If you are interested in things like college admission stats that's covered here, https://bethesdamagazine.com/2022/09/13/here-are-the-colleges-where-bethesda-area-high-school-grads-applied-got-accepted-and-enrolled/ |
Of course, that's why WW dominates the GS ratings. Since less than 5% low-income students translates to a higher test score average but if you are interested in the school with the most NMSF or best college admission stats that would be Blair, hands down. |
yale or jail? |
A couple thoughts here... Vienna like North Bethesda? Nope...North Bethesda doesn't have the walkability that TOV has. Some parts of North Arlington resemble parts of Chevy Chase MD Oakton is closer to North Potomac than Darnestown Takoma Park and SS don't have anything comparable to Old Town Alexandria |
Yes, Takoma is a 15-20 min metro ride to the heart of DC. It has this super quaint and walkable downtown surrounded by many lovely old Victorians. Nothing comparable in NVA or Moco. I remember reading about half of Obama's cabinet lives there as well as Jamie Raskin and Marc Elrich, the county executive. |
Yep. My kids went to Blair with Raskin's kids and some of Obama's cabinet members' kids. |
20 years ago maybe. Today, Pimmit is more like a neighborhood in Bethesda, maybe near Montgomery Mall. |
