Uh, no. This isn’t a he-said-she-said. This is video from a third party bystander.

The truth is exactly what you’re seeing.

Not justifying what she said, at all, but -- he did call her a b/tch first.

Also he gestured toward her face like he was going to hit her. Not okay.

She is the one who has moved into his personal space. She is the aggressor.

She's standing back saying, "Your phone was not plugged in. Your phone was not plugged in." Then he says, "Shut up b/tch" That's okay with you? She's repeating her complaint and he calls her a b/tch, and she's the aggressor? Horrible behavior on both sides -- that guy is definitely not an innocent victim.

It isn't his job to charge her phone.

Not to mention the fact that she calls him the N-word - over and over! Sheesh! How on earth could anyone side with her?

And yet there are posters on this thread who are doing just that.

No. He did not. He said that she was in his face and it was a motion to move back. Stop making stuff up

I'm the PP defending her. They're both trash. Idiots to be fighting like that on the sidewalk. But I notice no one gasped when he called her a stupid b/tch or gestured toward her face like they did when she used racial slurs.

They're both idiots. They look well matched.

Your perception here is disturbing. She, and only she, was at fault. The guy handled himself amazingly well. And had he used force, it still would have been ok, because she looked pretty dangerous. I would have.

You are way off.

I'm trying to imagine being the kind of trash to actually defend anyone, under any circumstances, hurling racist epithets like the N word and "slave" at a black person for any reason on earth, let alone over a stupid phone.

Nope. Can't do it. Thankfully.

Which is all he said over and over while this woman yelled hateful and racist things at him. That man has a lot of self control, my DH would have screamed at that woman.

And we live in a society where you call someone a slave because your phone was going to die? It’s privileged and disgusting

Thank you for saying this. She is clearly the aggressor. She moves in to his personal space multiple times when he doesn't move and she hit him. Who is the weirdo who thinks that repeating a lie multiple times will make it the truth? He wasn't moving to hit her. She is a best an unhinged, privileged violent racist.

Keep trying to rewrite what happened. How dare you say they are both equally at fault. She isn't "saying". She is screaming at him while encroaching on his physical space in a threatening manner. He is an innocent victim you racist freak.

We know a lot about this poster, don't we? We all lived long enough with vile people doing vile things who then tell us again and again we aren't seeing what we see.

If this is the order of importance in your mind, your post is disgusting. That's right. It's not just that your joke isn't landing it's that you would post this here after seeing this video.

My best guess is that she asked he was rude to her when she asked to charge her phone, then her phone ran out of battery so she could not complete the ride in the app. Then he wouldn’t let her leave when they arrived at the destination because he wasn’t assured of getting paid. Which is why he also got out of the car.

Interesting how you constantly make assumptions that it is the black man's fault. It's actually not interesting, it's disgusting.

LMFAO. How about this?

1. Don’t be racist.

2. Don’t take Uber.

I think you need to drink some gravy and chill.

Some of these posts are so embarrassing. Are you part of her legal team?

In what situation should an Uber driver get out of their car and then proceed to stand between somone and the entrance of the building?

Obviously being racist is bad, I think we all can agree. However everyone has had their share of bad Uber drivers. There is never a good reason for an Uber driver to get out of their car unless it’s to pick up an order from a restaurant.

His calling her a bit#$ is reasonable given her aggressive acts. She is in his personal space and will not stop. It is outrageous that you think him calling her a bit#$ is the same as her calling him a slave and an n. I also don't see him moving to hit her. I see her again and again move into his personal space and screaming. Her assault on him was unprovoked.

She is standing back making her complaint -- Your phone was not plugged in. Then he says, shut up b/tch. Then she repeats her complaint. THEN she moves forward to say, "You are the crazy one. Take your medication." and repeats her complaint.

I don't do Uber but what happens if his phone is not plugged in -- he can't charge her the correct amount? She's complaining about something.

I’m a white woman. It sounds like she wanted to use his phone charger because her phone was running out of battery power and she went off on him about it. Maybe he needs up save the battery park charger because he drives day day. Who knows. She’s entitled, racist, aggressive, disgusting. That’s a southern accent. Not NE, not native Washingtonian. She could be visiting for Thanksgiving for all we know. What despicable behavior on her part. He did a good job keeping his cool while under attack.
