Marylander Starter Pack

These bags are cute and not as obnoxious about the flag as most things are in Maryland: https://scoutbags.com/collections/maryland

Domino Sugar. A small bag, or some of the cubes. Dominos sugar is pretty iconic MD.

Guiness for the new, Natty Bo for the old

Some Dead Rise for the cheeky

Anyone actually tasted this?

Love beer and love Old Bay, but I am skeptical.

I hate orange and black, so yes, this flag is a complete eyesore, even though I love Maryland. And the crabs are cute, but in their original living color, please.

What? Why is the flag "a complete eyesore"? It is red, yellow, black, white. There is no orange.

Maryland's flag is the best!

It doesn't have any endangered animals or oppressed people on it and the color combo is fire

- Old Bay (duh!)
- Crab flavored potato chips (I think Utz brand, IIRC?)
- Utz potato chips
- Otterbein's Bakery chocolate chip cookies
- Recipe card for Smith Island cake

Yes to Otterbein's cookies. I prefer the sugar cookies but chocolate chip are good too. So much better than Berger cookies IMO. Also, Fisher's popcorn will deliver.

Natty Boh is tradition but there are so many great craft breweries in Maryland. Just go to any local beer/wine shop and you will have your pick. Guinness Blonde is a good suggestion as I think that is only made here. Wine..not so much, though there are a few that are tolerable.

Besides the good ideas already listed, I’d include a list of my favorite restaurants (fast food to fine dining) and gift cards to fish taco and spanish diner (or insert whatever restaurants you prefer), and a list of activities like American History Museum, Zoo, hike on Billy Goat Trail, Sugarloaf, Politics and Prose.
